SA POVERTY COMBAT ORGANIZATION

SA Poverty Combat Organisation (SAPCO) is a newly established non-profit organisation committed to combating poverty through dignity restoration, rehabilitation, skills development, and employment creation. The organisation was founded in response to the visible rise in homelessness and unemployment across South Africa and the lack of integrated reintegration programmes for affected individuals.
SAPCO operates on the principle that poverty is not only a lack of income but a lack of opportunity, support, and structured intervention.

What We Do

South Africa continues to face severe socio-economic challenges, including homelessness, unemployment, substance abuse, and poverty affecting individuals and families across urban and pre-urban areas. These challenges are interconnected and require a holistic, long-term intervention rather than fragmented short-term solutions.
SA Poverty Combat Organisation (SAPCO) proposed an Integrated Street-to-Sustainability Poverty Alleviation Programme, designed to remove vulnerable individuals from the streets and provide them with rehabilitation, skills training, employment placement, and transitional accommodation until they are fully reintegrated into society.
The project will actively identify homeless individuals, substance users, unemployed adults, and vulnerable mothers with children, offering them structured pathways toward independence. Through partnerships with rehabilitation centres, training providers, and employers, SAPCO will ensure cost-effective, sustainable outcomes with measurable social impact.
